Clare House School

Where nature becomes your child's teacher

Forest School and Beach School — every week, every child

Learning that leaves the classroom

Learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door. As a Forest and Beach School, we use the natural world to build confidence, curiosity and wellbeing in every child. Each week, your child experiences learning that feels alive — anchored in exploration, movement and real-world discovery. This isn’t an occasional treat. It’s part of who we are.

FOREST SCHOOL

Confidence grows when children are free to explore

Our on-campus woodland becomes a place where your child can imagine, build, climb and take supported risks. Forest School strengthens problem-solving, teamwork and resilience in ways no worksheet ever could.

Children learn by doing — igniting an independence that follows them back into the classroom. Our calm woodland space also supports emotional regulation, helping children feel centred, safe and ready to learn.

BEACH SCHOOL

Learning expands when the coastline becomes the classroom

Less than one mile from our campus, Porthcawl’s coastline gives your child a bigger world to explore. Beach School immerses them in sensory, hands-on learning — from investigating coastal habitats to understanding tides, textures and natural materials.

The beach builds perspective, confidence and creative expression. It teaches environmental respect, encourages inquiry, and deepens your child’s connection to the world around them.
