Clare House School

A Culture of Safety and Care

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility at Clare House School.

OUR COMMITMENT

When you choose a school, you are placing trust in the people who care for your child

That trust guides everything we do at Clare House School. Safeguarding is not a policy we follow — it is a culture of vigilance, responsibility and care that everyone in our community upholds. Your child is known, treated with dignity and supported every day.

Our commitment to your child

Your child’s safety, happiness and wellbeing sit at the heart of everything we do. Every child at Clare House School has the right to feel safe, heard and valued. We create an environment where children know they can speak to trusted adults, where their concerns are taken seriously, and where their voice genuinely matters.

Designated safeguarding lead

Clare House School’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Sally Davis, Executive Head of School, who holds overall responsibility for safeguarding across the school. All staff receive regular safeguarding training and are clear on their responsibilities. Our safeguarding procedures are reviewed annually and are fully compliant with current Welsh Government guidance.

Safer recruitment

All staff and volunteers working with children at Clare House School are subject to enhanced DBS checks and thorough safer recruitment procedures. We take our duty to employ safe, suitable people extremely seriously.
