A FAB SCHOOL
Learning with nature, every day
As a Forest and Beach (FAB) School, we know that the natural world is a powerful teacher. Children who learn outdoors develop stronger resilience, deeper curiosity and a genuine love of the world around them.
FOREST SCHOOL
Our on-campus woodland gives your child the freedom to explore, build, climb and take supported risks. Forest School sessions give children the opportunity to explore, imagine and discover their strengths. The calm, nurturing space supports emotional and social development as much as academic growth.
BEACH SCHOOL
Just a short walk from our gates, Porthcawl's coastline becomes an extension of our curriculum. As a Beach School, we use the coast to inspire meaningful, sensory-rich learning. Children investigate tidal patterns, explore natural habitats, create with found materials, and develop a deep respect for their environment.
ACTIVITIES & CLUBS
Where passions grow and confidence follows
Your child's interests matter here. Our activities and clubs programme offers a vibrant mix of sport, creativity, leadership and outdoor adventure — giving every child the chance to discover what excites them and who they can become.
After-school clubs each term — sport, arts, outdoor adventure and more
Field trips and curriculum-linked experiences every term
Annual residentials for Year 4 and above
Community and service learning projects
Performances, exhibitions and showcases
SPECIALIST TEACHING
Expert teaching from the very start
From the moment your child joins, they’re taught by specialists in the Arts, Languages and PE — helping them discover strengths, build confidence and develop a love of learning beyond the core curriculum.
The Arts
Music, Art and Drama taught by specialists who bring genuine passion to every lesson. Children discover creative confidence and learn to express themselves.
Modern Foreign Languages
Language learning begins early, building fluency, cultural understanding and the cognitive benefits of learning a second language from a young age.
PE & Sport
Daily physical activity, competitive sport and team games. Children develop fitness, coordination, teamwork and resilience.
A community where your child is known
At Clare House School, every child is known as an individual — by their teacher, their form tutor and the wider school community. We build strong, trusting relationships with families through daily communication, shared celebrations and open conversations about progress.
A daily wellbeing programme grounded in Positive Education
Every child has a key person or form tutor who monitors their wellbeing throughout the year
Regular family workshops and open communication — you are always part of your child’s journey
